	Fishing for Salmon, Sturgeon or Trout The Hope Salmon Fest begins mid June and runs until mid September. When staying at a participating accommodation you can enter each catch, cleaned weight, for the Grand Prize. For the past two years Hope Salmon Fest Committee has awarded a Sturgeon Trip for 4. At Holiday Motel & RV Resort we also host our own derby for the largest spring and sockeye salmon, with prizes and bragging rights. 	Golfing The Hope Golf and Country Club is a hidden jewel on the Coquihalla River with 9 holes to play. The beautiful scenery and challenging course is a must for any golfer.
	Tour the Scenic Fraser Canyon on Hwy 1 Just a 45 minute drive and you begin your adventure at Hell’s Gate, crossing the whitewater by cable car and learning the history of the Fraser River. On your way back to Hope, take a short hike to the Alexandria Bridge and stop in Yale at the museum and pan for gold.
	Take a daytrip to Manning Park on Hwy 3 45 minutes the other way and you are at Manning Provincial Park. You can hike alpine meadows, trek the the lakeshore or horseback ride. You can even try your hand at canoeing at Lightning Lake Dayuse area – the rentals are great! On your way to Manning make sure you stop and take a look at the Hope Slide, just 15 minutes east of Hope.
	Hope Or if you want to explore Hope, make sure you take a stroll and view our chainsaw carvings, catch the local artisan display at the Hope Arts Gallery, or visit our tourist information centre and museum. Hike a local trail or sit and relax at our pool.
